Sync iPhone Contacts with a Google Account Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on the iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the BlackBerry phone.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via the Lightning cable
- Open iTunes on the computer
- In iTunes, click the iPhone and access the Info section
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts form the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account, or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- After the sync is done, switch to the BlackBerry DTEK50, sign in with your Google account used in iTunes, and allow the account to sync contacts with your device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard is downloaded, perform one of these following steps:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the file to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import it to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can try sharing your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.
- Launch the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup
- After the backup file is done, tap Email
- Make sure the vCard backup file is attached, and send the email to your own address
- On the BlackBerry DTEK50, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use for contact transfer is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types cross-platform, without requiring a PC.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the BlackBerry DTEK50
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send again
- Lastly, select a transfer method, such as Generate QR Code on the iPhone or Receive on the BlackBerry device. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
