You might think that all of your contacts are people you would want to talk to at any given day or time, but in all honesty, you know that once in a while you just do not want to take a phone call. There are plenty of ways to block a phone call when you do not want to take one and a very easy way of doing this is with the Google Voice app.

Here are a couple easy steps that will help you to block an incoming phone call on your Samsung Galaxy SIII.

First, make sure you have the Google Voice app downloaded and installed. Once you have that completed you will be happy to know that the app actually has a SPAM filter based on a database of phone numbers related to SPAM and can be automatically blocked.

To get the SPAM filters turned on go to:
  1. CONTACTS
  2. Tick box next to one you want to BLOCK
  3. choose EDIT GOOGLE VOICE SETTINGS
  4. WHEN THIS CONTACT CALLS YOU
  5. you can choose SENT TO VOICEMAIL
  6. TREAT as SPAM
  7. or BLOCK CALLER

If you want to turn on the automatic SPAM filter, you will have to head over to the VOICE SETTINGS > CALL and tick the GLOBAL SPAM FILTERING option.
