Adding a New Email Account Manually:

  1. While on the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Go to "Accounts" under "User and backup"
  4. Tap "+ Add account" > "Email"
  5. Type in your email account's address and password
  6. Tap "manual setup"
  7. Select to create a "POP3 account", an "IMAP account" or a "Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync" account
  8. Edit the incoming email settings and tap "Next"
  9. Edit the outgoing email configuration and tap "Next"
  10. Tap "OK" in the "Samsung disclaimer" screen
  11. Select the desired email check frequency, notification options and retrieval size
  12. Tap "Next"
  13. Optionally, enter an account name and then tap "Done"

Adding an Existing Gmail Account:

  1. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Select "Gmail"
  3. At the "Add a Google account" screen, tap "Existing"
  4. Type in your email address and password
  5. Tap the "Arrow" icon to advance the setup
  6. Tap "OK" in the "Google Terms of Service" screen
  7. Optionally, mark the check boxes next to "Back up data to your Google account" and "Keep me up to date with offers from Google Play"
  8. Tap the "Arrow" button
  9. Wait for the account to sync, and your inbox will be populated shortly

Creating a New Gmail Account:

  1. Tap the "Apps" icon while on the home screen
  2. Tap "Gmail"
  3. At the "Add a Google account" screen, select "New"
  4. Type in your first and last name in the appropriate fields
  5. Tap the "Arrow" icon to advance the setup
  6. Select a username, and wait for Google to check availability
  7. If the name is taken, tap "Try again" or "touch for suggestions"
  8. Once you've set your username, enter the desired password
  9. Type in the password a second time in order to confirm it
  10. Tap the "Arrow" icon to go to the next screen
  11. Select "Set up recovery options" or "Not now"
  12. Optionally, mark the check boxes next to "Keep me up to date with offers from Google Play" and "Back up data to your Google account"
  13. Tap the "Arrow" icon to advance with the setup
  14. Tap "I Accept"
  15. Next, type in the authentication text and tap the "Arrow" icon
  16. When reaching the "Google+" step, tap "Not now" or "Get started"
  17. In the next screen, tap "Sync now". Your email will now sync, and the inbox will appear after a few moments

Deleting an Email Account:

  1. Tap the "Apps" icon from the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Under "User and Backup", tap "Accounts"
  4. Under "My accounts", select the account type
  5. Tap the "email address" at the top of the screen
  6. Press the "Menu" icon located at the top-right area of the screen
  7. Select "Remove account"
  8. Tap "Remove account" again to confirm
