Transferring Contacts Using iTunes:

iTunes is a great tool that allows you to sync your iPhone contacts with a Google account, thus making it very easy to transfer contacts from an iOS device to an Android smartphone. For this method you are required to have a computer with Internet access and iTunes installed.

  1. Open iTunes on your computer
  2. Establish a connection between the iPhone and the PC via USB
  3. The iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it to access the handset's summary page
  4. Click the "Info" tab and mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  5. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  6. Type in your Google account's username and password. If you have already registered a Google account in iTunes, you can click "Configure" and select it from the list
  7. If necessary, register the same account as the one used in iTunes, on the Galaxy Core LTE. NOTE: To add an account, go to "Settings" > "Accounts"
  8. Set the account so that it can sync contacts with your Android device

Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts:

In case you've used the iCloud service on your iPhone before, your contacts should be backed up on your iCloud account. By signing in to it using a computer with Internet access, you can export these contacts in the form of a VCF file for your Android device to use. To do so:

  1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Click "Contacts"
  4. Select the contacts that you want to export
  5. Click the "Settings" icon located in the lower-left side of the screen
  6. Select "Export vCard" and your computer will download a VCF file
  7. Import the VCF file to "Google Contacts", or connect your Galaxy Core LTE to your computer via USB, and copy the file in the phone's "sdcard" directory. Then, launch the "People" app, press "Menu" > "Import / Export" > "Import from SD card" > select an account and load the desired VCF file

Transferring Contacts Using "My Contacts Backup":

If you don't have access to a computer, then you can transfer your iPhone contacts using various applications such as "My Contacts Backup". With this app you can back up all your iPhone contacts in a VCF file, which can be send via Email to your Galaxy Core LTE. To do so

  1. Open the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Launch the application and tap "Backup"
  3. After the VCF backup file is created, tap "Email" to attach it to a new email
  4. Enter your own Gmail address in the "To" field, and send the email to your self
  5. On the Galaxy Core LTE, open the email containing the VCF file, and download it
  6. Import the file's contents using the "People" app, and by going to "Menu" > "Import / Export" etc.

Using "Send Anywhere" to Transfer Contacts:

"Send Anywhere" is an iOS and Android application with the help of which you can transfer contacts from an iPhone via a P2P connection. For this method, you don't need access to a computer.

  1. Go to the Google Play Store and download "Send Anywhere" on your Galaxy Core LTE
  2. Install the application on your iPhone, via the App Store
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Select the contacts that you want to share, and then tap "Send"
  6. Next up, choose the desired transfer method. You can tap "Receive" on the Core LTE and enter the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone. Alternatively, you can tap "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone, and scan the code using the Galaxy Core LTE's camera.
