Restore Application Data:
- Sign in with the Google account used for backing up your app data
- Go to the Settings menu
- Under User and Backup tap Accounts and select Google
- Tap our email address at the top of the screen
- Tap Sync all
- Press Back and from the User and Backup menu tap Backup and reset
- Enable the Automatic restore and Back up my data options
Restore Contacts
Restore Contacts from a Samsung or Google Account:
- Sign in with the Samsung or Google account used for the initial contact backup
- Tap Apps and go to Settings
- Under User and Backup tap Accounts
- Select Samsung or Google depending on the type of account you want to use for the initial backup
- Tap your email address at the top of the screen
- Check the Sync Contacts box and tap Sync now
Restore Contacts from an SD Card:
- Launch the Contacts application
- Access the Contacts tab and press Menu
- Go to Settings > Contacts and tap Import / Export
- Tap Import from SD card
- Select the account you wish to use for restoring your contacts
Restore Media Files
From the Phones Storage:
- Launch My Files from the apps drawer
- Tap All files > SD card
- Press Menu > Select and mark the check boxes associated with the files you want to restore
- Tap Menu again and select Move > Device Storage
- Navigate to where you wish to restore the files
- Tap Move here or alternatively, tap the folder name or tap Create folder to restore the files to a different location
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect your Galaxy S Duos 3 to your computer via USB
- Swipe the Status bar down and tap Connected as a media device
- Enable Media device (MTP) and from the AutoPlay window on the computer, click Open device to view files"
- Launch a second Windows Explorer window and locate the files backed up on your computer
- Copy the desired files and transfer them back on your phone storage, or the Card directory (assuming you have an SD card installed)
- After the transfer is done, click Mass storage device in the system tray, eject the phone storage and disconnect the device from the computer
Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:
- Connect your Samsung device to your Mac computer
- Swipe the status bar down and tap Connected as a media device
- Enable "Media device
- Open Kies on the Mac and access the Back up / Restore tab
- From the Restore tab, enable the Music and Photo folders. (Optionally / alternatively click Select all items
- Click Restore when youre ready to commence the transfer. Once done, drag the phones virtual drive into the Eject / Trash bin and safely disconnect the phone from the Mac
