    Back Up Application Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your account
    5. Turn on “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to be automatically restored upon the next sign in

    Back Up Contacts on a Samsung or Google Account:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Contacts”
    3. Tap “More” > “Settings”
    4. To save the contacts from your phone to your Samsung or Google account, tap “move device contacts to”
    5. Return to “Settings” and tap “Accounts”
    6. Select an account
    7. Tap “More” > “Sync now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed u using this method will be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Samsung or Google backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. On the computer open the Internet browser
    2. Visit Samsung Smart Switch?
    3. Click “Samsung Smart Switch for PC” and install the app to your computer
    4. Next, connect the Galaxy Express 3 to your PC via USB
    5. If necessary, install any USB drivers that may be required
    6. When prompted on the smartphone, enable “Media device (MTP)” or “File transfer (MTP)”. Otherwise, enable the option from the “notification” area
    7. Launch “Smart Switch” on the PC
    8. Open the File Explorer on the computer to locate the media files on your phone
    9. Copy the files and paste them in the desired backup location on the PC
    10. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Follow the first 7 steps above
    2. Open the File Explorer on the PC
    3. Use the Explorer to locate the media file backups on the computer storage
    4. Copy the files and transfer them back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
    5. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray
    6. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Back Up Media Files from a Mac Computer:

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Visit Kies Support
    3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” and install Kies on the Mac
    4. Connect the Galaxy Express 3 to your computer via USB
    5. At the prompt, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File transfer (MTP)”, otherwise turn this option on from the “notification” area
    6. On the Mac, open Kies and access the “Back up / restore” tab
    7. Click the “Backup” tab and check the boxes associated with “Music”, “Photo” or other types of media files you wish to back up
    8. Click “Backup”
    9. Once the process is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it into the “Trash can” to eject it
    10. You can now safely disconnect the Express 3 from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

    1. Follow the first 5 steps above
    2. Open Kies on the Mac
    3. Go to the “Back up / restore” tab
    4. Click “Restore”
    5. Check the boxes next to “Photos”, “Music”, and other media file types you wish to restore
    6. Click “Restore”
    7. If necessary, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the restore
    8. Once done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it into the “trash can” to eject it
    9. You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    An android data backup app could transfer everything from your phone to computer, you need to connect your phone to computer and start the app, then the app would detect your phone data automatically, you can select and check those data you want to backup.
