    Clear App Cache / Data:

NOTE: If one of your applications doesn’t work as intended; crashes, freezes, or takes up too much space inexplicably, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the app’s cache / data.

WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all your personal data stored within the app will be deleted. This includes login and credit card information, settings, profiles saved games etc. To avoid losing personal data, clear only the app’s cache.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings
    3. Under “Device”, tap “Applications
    4. Go to “Application Manager
    5. Swipe to “Downloaded” or “All
    6. Select the desired application
    7. Tap “Clear cache
    8. If necessary, tap “Clear data” > “OK” (Review WARNING Above)

    Clear the Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your phone crashes, freezes, runs out of storage inexplicably or otherwise doesn’t work as intended, you might be able to fix these problems by clearing the device’s cache partition. This can have similar results as a factory reset, without losing any of your personal data stored on the device.

    1. First, turn off the phone
    2. Press and hold “Power”, “Home”, and “Volume Up” at the same time
    3. At the “Samsung” logo, release “Power
    4. When the “Android” logo appears, release all hardware buttons
    5. From the Android System Recovery menu, press “Volume down” repeatedly to highlight “Wipe cache partition
    6. Press “Power” to confirm and select the highlighted option
    7. Once the cache is wiped, “Reboot system now” will be highlighted
    8. Press “Power” to confirm and reboot your phone

NOTE: If clearing the cache partition didn’t help, you can visit this thread for a guide on how to factory reset the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro.

Reboot in Safe Mode and Remove an App:

NOTE: In case you have installed a third party app on your phone that causes issues and prevents you from uninstalling it, you should be able to remove it from within Safe Mode. In this mode all third party applications are disabled.

    1. Ensure the phone is turned off
    2. Press and hold “Power
    3. At the “Samsung” logo, release “Power” and quickly hold “Volume Down” instead
    4. After the phone finishes restarting, a “Safe Mode” watermark should be displayed in the lower-left corner of the screen
    5. From the home screen, tap “Apps” and open “Settings
    6. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Applications
    7. Tap “Application manager” and access “Downloaded
    8. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall
    9. Tap “Uninstall” a second time to confirm
    10. Once done, you can exit safe mode by pressing and holding “Power”, and selecting “Restart” from the pop-up menu

Do I have to change something in the settings before I can see the clear data option? I just can't find it in application manager.
