Sync iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with a Google account. You can then sync the account data, and contacts, with the Samsung phone.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your computer using the Lightning cable
  3. Click the iPhone in iTunes
  4. Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. From the drop-down menu, select “Google Contacts”
  6. Sign in with your Google account, or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  8. Once the sync is complete, switch to the Galaxy On7 Pro and register the same Google account
  9. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone have been previously backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard format for use on the Android phone.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Click “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, follow one of the steps below:
    • Import the vCard using “Google Contacts”, or:
    • Connect the Samsung device to your PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import it using “Contacts”

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the two methods above require access to a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Open the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
  3. Wait for the backup file to be created and tap “Email”
  4. Make sure the email contains the vCard attachment
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. Switch to the Samsung device, and open the email
  7. Download the attached vCard and use “Contacts” to import it

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, for iOS and Android. The application uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types cross-platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the app on the Samsung phone via the Google Play Store
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. Tap “Send” > “Contacts” on the iPhone
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method. Example: you can tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the Samsung device’s camera, or tap “Receive” on the Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone
