Ringtone Format for SCH-A670???

I can make my own ringtones and send them to my phone, and i know that it dont play MP3, so anyone know what it does play? Also, how do i click on a link that i got in a text message??

It plays midi files... and there are gobs of them out there. Also, for software, try BitPim. (http://www.bitpim.org)

You need a data cable, and various free software. Midi's suck, MP3's rock. Unfortunately, it takes several steps to make a ringtone from an MP3, but very nice instructions can be found in the Ringtones section of this great site:

i don't know what files it plays...midi i have not tried mmf or smaf, i am going to try soon, i will let you know

ok, supposedly it plays .qcp, .pmd (usually convereted from .wav).I have tried mmf and no luck with that...

this is from another board:

.qcp files work on the A670 I have uploaded a ton.
1.Download the Pv_convertor 3.0 and extract it to a folder on your PC called PVC or whatever.
2. Open an MP3 in Winamp and You need to convert the file to WAV in winamp save it in the same folder as the Pvconvertor.
3. Open Sound Recorder on Windows Clip the 30 seconds you want and then save it as one name no spaces or numbers I.E myring and save the cropped version in the same folder as the Pvconvertor.
4. Open Windows Explorer and drag the Clipped file over the Pvc.exe thing and it will make a QCP file.
5. Upload it to Vzwpix and send it to yourself with the PIX Message it works like a charm have fun!

have you tried to rename a mp3 with the mid extention and see if that works?

no i haven't but i plan to as soon as i grab some software to shorten up a mp3 to a reasonable length and size....like under 30k
