    hello
bought a new samsung slide phone a few weeks ago. It was working fine but one morning it decided that I could only make emergency calls. I called my network provider who assired me that there wasn't any problems they could identify so I have since put my sim card into my old phone which is working without any problems. The new phone however is still insisting on emrgency calls only. I think it's a j7001
thanks to anyone who can help

I believe you can go into phone settings or call settings and unlock it in some way.. not sure which phone u have, but it should allow you to exit emergency mode. If youve called your phone company, and they said they don't see anything wrong, YOU HAVE A STUPID PHONE COMPANY!!! lol Good luck!

maybe you have set "offline" by mistake or the socket for sim is out of order.

    Re: emergency calls only

Sometime it is only networks problem, is it still in emergency only mode ?? If so, try removing your battery and putting it back, otherwise, go to your supplier directly, it can be a problem with the phone itself but this is not the most common cause for this

Yep, it's the network. I had this problem several times. Check your SIM card. If it's not that then you locked your phone.
