Having the ability to store files on your smartphone is a very hot topic and that is why it is so weird that some handsets are still leaving the microSD card slot from their handsets. Those of you that own the Samsung Rugby Pro have the ability to use a microSD and microSDHC card. Here are a couple steps on how to mount and unmount the microSD card.

Mounting the SD Card
To store additional photos, music, videos, and other applications, you must mount (install) the SD card prior to use. Mounting the SD card establishes a USB connection
with your computer.
1. Insert the SD card into the external, SD card slot.
2. Your SD card is scanned to see the available information on it.

Unmounting the SD card
Unmounting the SD card prevents corruption and damage to the SD card while removing it from the slot.
1. From the Home screen, tap ➔ Settings ➔Storage.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the display and tap Unmount SD card.
3. Tap OK.

If you want to know the amount of memory that your card has, you can follow these steps:
SD card Available Memory Status
1. From the Home screen, tap ➔ Settings ➔Storage.
2. The available memory for Device and SD card displays under the Total space and Available space headings.

If you need to erase any data from the microSD card, go through the following:
Erasing Files from the SD card
1. Ensure the SD card is mounted.
1. From the Home screen, tap ➔ Settings ➔ Storage.
2. Tap Format SD card.
3. At the Format SD card confirmation prompt, tap Format
SD card.

Warning! Performing the next step erases all data stored on
the SD card.

4. Tap Delete all to format or press to cancel.
