Please excuse my total lack of obvious knowledge, but the last time I used a cell phone was 25 years ago.

I need an Android phone with Bluetooth and WiFi for a specific App for only a day or so, maybe updating once a month. I have found the above Samsung but I want to make certain that I can get this phone to bypass activation as I will never use it for any calling.

I've seen a few suggestions for other Galaxy models that use the Emergency Call, then dial *#83786633, then Home method and I was hoping someone here can confirm that this or some other method will work on a locked Tracfone Samsung.
