I keep receiving a call from the number: 923-005-080675. It only rings once and they hang up. I have also received a text from them saying they are in some third world country and need money. I don't give out my number anywhere. Anyone have an idea who these people are?

Re: Suspicious Phone Calls
Thanks for the reply, I have not been answering their calls, but how did they get my number in the first place? I even get text messages from them. I'll have to see about my carrier blocking them. Thanks again for the reply.

Re: Suspicious Phone Calls
They may get your number randomly...it is as simple as entering 1-areacode+local prefix+end number...it isn't as difficult to randomly call U.S. people...
You can call your wireless carrier and request they remove I-DIAL from your account. It means International Dial and will prevent you from making/receiving international calls. Just don't answer, who knows how high the international rate to talk to someone in Pakistan is.

Re: Suspicious Phone Calls
you must be careful, just answer and talk calm...try to ask some questions, not too many, and overall don't give any info...

Re: Suspicious Phone Calls
Now that you know the country code, just don't answer any calls with that prefix. And, as someone suggested, block international calls (unless you need to receive and send outside the U.S., of course). Can you block just one number (or country code)?
