Transferring Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Use the microUSB cable to connect your Xperia C to your computer
  2. In the AutoPlay window on the PC, click to open and browse the phone's memory
  3. Open the "Internal storage" directory
  4. Open a new Windows Explorer window, and locate the audio files stored on your computer's HDD
  5. Copy the desired files and paste them in the "Music" or "Notifications" folder
  6. Once the transfer is complete, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
  7. Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
  8. You can now disconnect your smartphone from the computer

Changing the Ringtone for All Calls:

  1. After transferring the desired audio files in the "Music" folder, open the apps drawer
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Scroll to "Device", tap "Sound"
  4. Tap "Phone ringtone" under "Ringtone & Vibration"
  5. Tap the "Music" icon located in the top-right corner of the screen
  6. Select the file that you wish to use as a ringtone and tap "Done"

Changing the Ringtone for One Contact:

  1. Tap the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
  2. Access the "Contacts" tab located in the upper-right corner
  3. Choose the contact that you want to set the ringtone to
  4. Tap the "Edit contact" icon located in the top-right area
  5. Scroll to, and tap the "Ringtone" drop-down menu
  6. Tap the "Music" icon located in the top-right corner
  7. Tap "Done", and tap "Done" a second time for confirmation

Changing the Notification Sounds:

  1. After transferring the desired audio files in the "Notifications" folder, launch the app drawer
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Under "Device", tap "Sound"
  4. Tap "Default notification sound" under "System"
  5. Select the desired file. NOTE: your newly transferred files should appear at the bottom of the list
  6. Tap "Done"
