Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the Xperia Z5
  2. Ensure that the phone is connected as a media device
  3. Launch an Explorer window on the computer and locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
  4. Copy the desired files and navigate to the phone storage
  5. Paste the files on the phone’s storage, preferably in the “Media” > “Music” / “Notifications” / “Ringtones” folders
  6. After the transfer is done, click the mass storage device in the system tray and eject the Xperia Z5 storage, then safely disconnect the device from the PC

Change the Phone Ringtone:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound”
  4. Under “Ringtone & Vibration”, tap “phone ringtone”
  5. Tap the “Music” icon
  6. Select the desired ringtone and tap “Done”

Change a Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones to contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal storage.

  1. Open “Phone”
  2. Go to the “Contacts” tab
  3. Select the contact you want to set a custom ringtone to
  4. Tap “Edit” and then tap the “Ringtone” drop-down menu
  5. Select a ringtone and tap “Done”

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Open the “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Sound” under “Device”
  3. Under “System”, tap “Default notification sound”
  4. Select the desired notification sound (NOTE: Items recently added in the “Notification” folder on the phone will appear at the bottom of the list)
  5. Tap “Done” to confirm
