Hi there,
I am switching to T-Mobile from AT&T. I have had my phones unlocked and they now recognize and work with the new T-Mobile SIM cards.
However, there seems to be an issue with the phones connecting to the towers correctly. I always seem to have a very weak signal and cannot get anything above an 'E' connection.
I went to the local T-Mobile store today and all their native T-Mobile phones have full signal with '3G'. All I could get was 2 bars an 'E' in the store. I even picked up a cheap T-Mobile pay as you go phone for $19 to carry around as a comparison, and it definitely has way better signal strength and connects to the data networks with ease.
I have 3 phones to get setup: Pantech Link, Pantech Ease, Pantech Impact (all basic messaging phones - not smartphones)
Is there a network setting etc. that I need to configure ?
Any help appreciated as the T-Mobile tech support is closed for the holiday today.
Thanks.

Check the 3G frequency of the phones you plan on using. I believe Tmobiles 3g is on a different frequency and the phones you have may not support those.
With an Iphone you can only get edge data because of the frequency being different.
