Best smart phone for the price for T-Mobile

I am switching from Spring to T-Mobile in January and will buy 5 refurbished phones to use for service. Would you say the HTC ONE S 4G ANDROID GSM is the best value for quality and price? Any other suggestions? I can but refurbished for $150 or less.

I don't know if you have switched yet, and I am thinking about switching (phones, that is), but everything that I have read all over the place says that the Nokia Lumia 521 gives you the best bang for your dollar. One reviewer flat out said that the phone is the best for under $150. Now it does run Windows 8, but windows phone is up and coming. Yes, there are fewer apps at this point, but many said that they are just better quality than either Android or Apple. You may want to read up on it. The Lumia 521 is not the newest toy out there, but it apparently has enough bells and whistles for the average consumer, being that it (or its twin, the 520) is the best selling Windows phone in the world. I switched to T-mo and got my very first smart phone, the relatively old and slow Huawei Prism, so I am sure that the Lumia is going to seem like a major upgrade to me.

Just make sure that you get something that is T-mobile branded and is WiFi calling enabled via the T-mo WiFi calling app. That way you will be able to always make great calls via a WiFi connection, not to mention use as much data as you want via WiFi without penalty.

After experiencing the Lumia 521, I will tell anyone not to buy it before you Google its problems or known issues. I am going to write a review of it on this site.

I lost my Lumia 521 review trying to move it, so I am going to have to redo it at some point, but if you plan to use cellular only, then you're fine. If you have to rely on WiFi calling at home or the places that you frequent, then don't do it because of SMS and MMS issues. Not to mention a design flaw with the battery/connector.

Buy 5 nexus 5's from Google. $300 each.
