Rejecting "Withheld" calls aka "Anonymous Call Rejection" from o2mobileand other mobile networks

Hi All,
I've been looking for a way to reject Withheld calls that call my o2
mobile, anyone know if it is possible?

I've added info to my site that I have discovered so far:
http://jguk.org/2007/03/junk-caller-...-withheld.html Sounds like
GSM code *30# could do it, but it says "INVALID COMMAND" when I try
that. *#30# does say "Active", that my incoming call CLI is presented.

Anyone have any info to help me achieve the rejection of Withheld calls?

T-Mobile have it as a chargeable extra so I would have thought that O2
do the same.

According to <http://www.geckobeach.com/cellular/secrets/gsmcodes.php>
code *#30# simply stops your handset from displaying the number of the
incoming call. It doesn't block the call.

That code has nothing to do with blocking any calls based on CLI or lack
thereof.

Buy a windows mobile or SYmbian smartphone, then find yourself a call
manager application (you would have to pay for this).

ACR is not offered by any UK network as a service, so if you want it you
will have to do it at the handset.

I've got a Sony Ericsson W880i and you can block withheld number by using
the managed calls function in the settings.

No, but you can set-up a divert on your contract mobile phone to a BT line
which has ACR, as follows:

**67*<your BT number here>#

If anyone calls when your phone is on, and the number is 'witheld',
just 'Busy' the call (press red hang-up rather than green accept),
which will send the call to your home phone number. Your BT landline
will then play the rejection message by BT.

Whilst this suggestion does not 'AUTO' divert withheld numbers it is one
way of dealing with unwanted callers.

If you have "Anonymous call reject" on your BT line (or know someone who
has - cheeky ;-), whereby any calls prefixed with 141 get an announcement
to redial without withholding the ID.

On your mobile phone set-up the following divert on busy:

**67*<BT number here>#

Then when you receive the 'number withheld' call press busy and the call
will be diverted (at your cost) to the nominated BT line which then spits
out the rejection message by BT.

Not perfect but it does work.

Hi,

I have the "Manage calls" section in "Settings", but I can't find a way
to block Withheld calls from in there. Could you tell me which menu
options you went through in "Manage calls"? I have "Call waiting",
"Accept calls", "Restrict calls" and "Closed groups" on my K800i.

Or perhaps this feature has not made it onto my phone. I do like the
look of the W880i, but I don't like the replacement narrow horizontal
line buttons... I find myself having to use the side of my finger nail
to press them whenever I need to use my mates mob..

Perhaps o2 offer it on their business side, maybe I should try that
approach.

This is great, now I just need to find someone I know who withholds
their number!
