I am trying to change the service from a broken verizon phone (kyocera phantom) to a kyocera excel 2345. The 2345 has sprint pcs (os?) programmed into it and I want to change the phone to the existing verizon wireless service plan. Verizon customer care tried to help by telling me key codes (*228, 111111, etc.) to reprogram it. The guy at the verizon store said I need to flash the chip and change to a verizon software. How do I do this? Can it be flashed using a usb data cable? Or can I take the chip out and build a reprogrammer that attaches to a parallel port? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
