kyocera candid kx16 direct download disabled

Hi All, would appreciate any input here. I've been trying to download ringers from zedge on my phone. It will let me dl wallpapers, and nothing else. Keeps coming up as direct download disabled.... I've tried advanced settings in my browser to change it, and still nothing. ???????????

Try dialing 111111, Options (upper-right button), Service, Tethered Data. Enable it and turn off your phone. Remove the battery, put it back, turn on phone, see if the things will download now.

after i go to sevice there isn't a tethered data...all that's listed is version, programming, debug, evrc setting, reset lock,sms cause code, position location, keystroke counter, browser setup,headset switch, backlight test, and data setup....what do i do...?

ok so i'm a little technologically challenged...at the data options are moblie Ip only, mobile IP pref, simple IP....which one..?

Sorry bud, you'll have to call them and ask them. The menu is structured differently with US Cellular (my SP)

I was wondering if anyone had ever figured this out. I have a kx16 with alltel and i would like to enable direct downloads.
