help i cant download free ringtones

i just this kyocera wild card and it wont let me download free ringtones
it keeps telling me direct download disabled ive only had this phone for about 4 days my last kyocera cyclops or something would let me do it all the time whats happening can someone help me with this

VM disabled direct download on the Wild Card. So far, no way has been found to circumvent the restriction.

Why do companies do that? If you buy the phone, why can't you load it up with whatever junk you want?

So they can nickel and dime us. Especially companies like VM, which cater to young people and people who can't pass a cred check. They charge lower monthly rates than the contract carriers, so they have to recoup that loss somehow.
