problem with kyocera slider remix (kind of)

I just bought a kyocera kx5 off ebay (stupid i know). I got the phone, and the dude who sold it to me (he has 5) seemed fine but when popped the battery in it has a lock on it. How can i override a lock from this cell phone? If i take it to us cellular will they reset the phone and switch my service to it instead of my piece of crap phone that i have right now?

Are you talking about the security code on the phone???? If so, you should have asked for a refund because without the security code US Cellular can't program over the phone. They are very picky where I live about programming phones that don't have there logo which is why most folks do it over the phone but you can't do anything with knowing that code.
