Taking a Picture

1. From the Home screen tap Apps.
2. Then tap Camera -> make the desired camera settings, if necessary.
3. Frame your subject -> for portraits, it’s best to hold your smartphone vertically, while for taking landscape pictures it’s best to hold the device horizontally.
4. Then tap the Capture icon to take the picture.

Recording a Video

1. From the Home screen, tap Apps.
2. Then tap Camera -> tap the Camera icon and select the Camcorder icon to set the camcorder mode.
3. Select Long Video or MMS.
Long Video -> should be used when you’d like to record a longer video, you can also select the quality of your video here.
MMS -> select this option in case you’d like to attach the recorded video to an email or an MMS. The quality of the video will automatically be set to QCIF (meaning 176x144) and its length will be of only 30 seconds.
4. Then frame your subject.
5. Tap the red Record icon to start recording.
6. When finished, tap the red Record icon again to stop capturing.

Viewing Pictures and Videos Using Gallery

You can check the pictures and videos you’ve recorded using the Gallery app.

1. From the Home screen tap Apps.
2. Select Gallery -> your photos are saved in the Camera album.

Editing a Picture

1. From the Home screen, tap Apps.
2. Then select Gallery -> tap the desired album -> tap the picture that you’d like to edit.
3. Then press the Menu key and select Edit.
4. You can then make various changes. For example, you can add an exposure, a color or an artistic effect.
5. If you also want to rotate the picture, press the Menu icon and select Rotate left or Rotate right.
6. When you finished editing the picture, tap SAVE.

Cropping a Photo

1. From the Home screen, tap Apps.
2. Select Gallery -> then tap the desired album -> select the photo that you’d like to crop.
3. Press the Menu key -> select Crop. You will then see a crop box on the photo.
4. To adjust the size of the crop box, press and hold the edges of the box and move the directional arrows inwards or outwards to resize the crop box.
5. You can also just move the crop box to the part of the picture that you’d like to crop by simply dragging the crop box to the another position.
6. When finished editing the photo, tap CROP.
7. The cropped image should be saved on the microSD card as a copy, while the original picture remains unedited.
