    Inserting the SD Card:

    1. Turn off the phone and remove its cover and battery
    2. Locate the microSD tray (above the SIM card slot)
    3. Insert the microSD with the gold contacts facing down
    4. Refit the battery and back cover
    5. Turn on the phone
    6. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
    7. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "Device"
    8. Tap "Storage" > "User storage"
    9. Swipe to "SD Card" and tap "Mount SD card"

    Checking the Amount of Free SD Card Space:

    1. Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings" and scroll to "Device"
    3. Tap "Storage" > "User storage"
    4. Swipe to "SD card" and view the "Available" value

    Changing the Default Memory Storage Location:

    NOTE: By default your smartphone will store data on the internal memory. You can, however, set the device so that it uses the SD card as the primary storage location. To do so:

    1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
    2. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "Device"
    3. Tap "Storage" > "User storage"
    4. Swipe to "Primary Storage" and tap "Select primary storage"
    5. Choose "SD card" and tap "OK" to confirm

    Formatting the SD Card:

    WARNING! Formatting the SD card will result in the deletion of all data stored on it!

    1. From the phone's "Settings" menu, scroll to "Device"
    2. Tap "Storage" > "User storage"
    3. Scroll to "SD Card" and tap "Erase SD Card"
    4. Tap "Erase SD card" again and tap "Erase everything" to confirm

    Opening or Deleting Files Stored on the SD Card

    Using the Device:

    1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen
    2. Go to "File Manager"
    3. Tap "Folders" > "External SD"
    4. Locate the files you wish to open or delete
    5. Tap a file to open it
    6. To delete a file or a folder, mark its check box and tap the "trash can" icon
    7. At the "Delete selected items?" message, press "OK" to confirm

    Using a Windows Computer:

    1. Establish a USB connection between your Kyocera Hydro Life and PC
    2. From the AutoPlay window, click "Open device to view files"
    3. Open the Removable Disk directory associated with the SD card
    4. Click or delete the desired files as you see fit
    5. After the process is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone from the computer

    Transferring Files

    Transferring Files Between a Computer and the SD Card:

    1. Connect your Hydro Life to your computer via USB
    2. From the AutoPlay window, click "Open device to view files"
    3. Open the directory associated with your SD card
    4. Open a secondary Windows Explorer window
    5. Copy the desired files from the SD card to the PC's HDD, or vice versa
    6. Once the transfer is done, click the "mass storage device" icon in the system tray and safely disconnect your smartphone

    Transferring Files Between the SD Card and the Internal Memory:

    1. While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Launch "File Manager"
    3. Tap "Folders" and press "Menu"
    4. Touch "Move" and navigate to the files you wish to move
    5. Mark the check boxes next to the files you wish to move
    6. A "Please select folder to move to" message will appear
    7. Tap "External SD" to move the files to the SD card
    8. Tap "internal SD" to move the files to the internal memory
    9. Press "Move here" > "OK" to confirm

    Question
    When I go to transfer pictures I have take via connecting to desktop(Windows 7) and using import photos and videos, the system says no new photos. Yet took photos, can look at the via gallery, file folder and I can send from phone to FB via the gallery.
    The phone says the SD Card is mounted.
    I cannot figure this out; help plese.
