Check the SD Card Storage:

  1. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "Device"
  3. Tap "Storage" > "User storage"
  4. Scroll to "SD card" and view the "Available" value

Changing the Storage Location:

NOTE: Your smartphone will store application data on the internal storage by default, but you can set your smartphone so that it uses the SD card as the primary storage location instead. To enable this feature:

  1. Tap "Apps" while viewing any of the home screens
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Scroll to "Device" and tap "Storage"
  4. Tap "User storage"
  5. Scroll to "Primary Storage" and tap "Select primary storage"
  6. Select "SD card" and then tap "OK"

Formatting the SD Card:

WARNING! Formatting the SD Card will result in the deletion of all data stored on the memory card. Before proceeding, create backups if necessary.

  1. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
  2. Swipe to "Device" and tap "Storage"
  3. Tap "User storage" and swipe to "SD card"
  4. Tap "Erase SD card" twice
  5. Tap "Erase everything" to confirm

Opening or Deleting Files on the SD Card

Using a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Kyocera Hydro Vibe to your computer via USB
  2. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, click "Open device to view files"
  3. Open the directory associated with the SD card
  4. Open or delete the files as you desire
  5. Once done, safely disconnect your smartphone

Using the Smartphone:

  1. Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
  2. Launch "File Manager"
  3. Tap "Folders" > "External SD"
  4. Locate the files you wish to delete or open
  5. To open a file, tap it
  6. To delete a file, mark the check box next to it and tap the "Trash can" button
  7. When the "Delete selected item?" message appears, tap "OK" to confirm

Transferring Files

File Transfer Between the SD Card and a Computer:

  1. Establish a connection between your PC and Hydro Vibe via USB
  2. Click "Open device to view files" from the AutoPlay window on your PC
  3. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to your phone's SD Card
  4. Open a secondary Windows Explorer window
  5. Copy the desired files between the PC's HDD and SD card
  6. After the transfer is done, click the "Mass storage device" icon located in the system tray
  7. Safely disconnect your smartphone from the PC

Transferring Files Between the Internal Memory and SD Card:

  1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen
  2. Open "File Manager"
  3. Tap "Folders"
  4. Press "Menu" and tap "Move"
  5. Navigate to the files you wish to move
  6. Mark the check boxes associated with the desired files
  7. At the "Please select folder to move to" pop-up, tap "External SD" to move the files to the SD Card
  8. Alternatively, select "Internal SD" to move the files to the internal memory instead
  9. Tap "Move here" and press "OK" to confirm
