Clearing App Cache or Data:

NOTE: In case one of your applications is not working as intended (it freezes, crashes etc.) then you might be able to fix these issues by clearing the application's cache or data.

WARNING! When you clear an application's data, all personal information stored within the application will be deleted, including profiles, login details, credit card information, saved games, high scores etc.

It's recommended that you try fixing these issues by clearing the app cache first, as doing so will not remove personal data.

  1. While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Scroll to "Device" and then tap "Apps"
  4. Swipe to the "All" screen
  5. Select the desired application and tap "Clear cache"
  6. If clearing the cache hasn't helped, tap "Clear data" > "OK"

Wiping the Phone's Cache Partition:

NOTE: In case your smartphone isn't working as intended, it freezes, hangs, lags etc. then you might be able to fix these problems by clearing the phone's cache partition. To do so:

  1. Turn off your smartphone
  2. Press and hold the "Power" and "Volume down" buttons simultaneously
  3. After the phone vibrates, release the "Power" button
  4. At the "Android Recovery" screen, release the "Volume down" button too
  5. From the recovery menu, press "Volume down" to navigate to and highlight "wipe cache partition"
  6. Press "Power" to select the highlighted option
  7. After the cache is wiped, "Reboot system now" will be highlighted
  8. Press "Power" to restart your smartphone

NOTE: If clearing the cache hasn't helped, then you might want to factory reset your smartphone. Keep in mind that unlike clearing the cache, master resetting will result in the deletion of all personal data stored on your phone's internal memory.
