Enable Battery Saving Mode:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings
- Tap Eco Mode
- Select to keep Eco Mode On (always on), or tap Auto on and set a battery percentage at which Eco Mode enables automatically
- To further customize how Eco Mode works, tap the Gear icon in the upper-right corner to gain access to more options for brightness, auto-rotate, Wi-Fi and more
Lower the Screen Brightness and Adjust Timeout Duration:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings and tap Display
- Tap Brightness level and slide the brightness slider to the left
- Tap Sleep and select a lower timeout setting
Disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS and Bluetooth:
NOTE: If you disable connectivity when not in use you can prolong the phones battery life on the long run. Disable Wi-Fi, GPS, Hotspot, and Bluetooth whenever they are not in use to maximize battery performance
- Swipe the notification bar down
- Tap the V arrow to view all
- Tap the tiles associated with Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth and Location to disable these features
Change the Sync Settings for Apps:
NOTE: If you disable or reduce sync you can improve battery performance on the long run
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings
- Tap Accounts and press Menu
- Uncheck the Auto-sync data option
Disable Background Data:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings
- Tap Data usage
- Press Menu > Restrict background data
- Tap OK
Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:
NOTE: Third party apps can run processes in the background even when you dont use them. As such it is recommended that you disable or uninstall third party apps that you rarely, or never use, not only for the sake of storage but battery life too.
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings
- Tap Apps and swipe to the All tab
- Select the application you want to edit
- Tap Disable or tap Uninstall to disable unused applications
Switch from 4G to 2G Connectivity:
- Go to the phones Settings menu
- Tap More > Cellular networks
- Change the Preferred network type to GSM only
Keep Your Phone Updated:
NOTE: Software updates can sometimes include improvements to battery life, thus its recommended to keep your phone up to date at all times. To check if a new software update is available on your Kyocera:
- Tap Apps > Settings
- Swipe to and tap About phone
- Tap System updates
- Press Check for updates and assuming that a new package is available, follow the on-screen steps to download and install it
