Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Tap “Eco Mode”
  4. Select to keep Eco Mode “On” (always on), or tap “Auto on” and set a battery percentage at which Eco Mode enables automatically
  5. To further customize how Eco Mode works, tap the “Gear” icon in the upper-right corner to gain access to more options for brightness, auto-rotate, Wi-Fi and more

Lower the Screen Brightness and Adjust Timeout Duration:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings” and tap “Display”
  3. Tap “Brightness level” and slide the brightness slider to the left
  4. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout setting

Disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS and Bluetooth:

NOTE: If you disable connectivity when not in use you can prolong the phone’s battery life on the long run. Disable Wi-Fi, GPS, Hotspot, and Bluetooth whenever they are not in use to maximize battery performance

  1. Swipe the notification bar down
  2. Tap the “V” arrow to view all
  3. Tap the tiles associated with “Wi-Fi”, “Hotspot”, “Bluetooth” and “Location” to disable these features

Change the Sync Settings for Apps:

NOTE: If you disable or reduce sync you can improve battery performance on the long run

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Tap “Accounts” and press “Menu”
  4. Uncheck the “Auto-sync data” option

Disable Background Data:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Tap “Data usage”
  4. Press “Menu” > “Restrict background data”
  5. Tap “OK”

Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:

NOTE: Third party apps can run processes in the background even when you don’t use them. As such it is recommended that you disable or uninstall third party apps that you rarely, or never use, not only for the sake of storage but battery life too.

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Tap “Apps” and swipe to the “All” tab
  4. Select the application you want to edit
  5. Tap “Disable” or tap “Uninstall” to disable unused applications

Switch from 4G to 2G Connectivity:

  1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “More” > “Cellular networks”
  3. Change the “Preferred network type” to “GSM only”

Keep Your Phone Updated:

NOTE: Software updates can sometimes include improvements to battery life, thus it’s recommended to keep your phone up to date at all times. To check if a new software update is available on your Kyocera:

  1. Tap “Apps” > “Settings”
  2. Swipe to and tap “About phone”
  3. Tap “System updates”
  4. Press “Check for updates” and assuming that a new package is available, follow the on-screen steps to download and install it
