Back Up Applications:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings
- Swipe to Personal and tap Backup and reset
- To proceed you must be logged in to a Google account. If necessary, tap Backup account > Add account and follow the on-screen prompts
- To save account data, Wi-Fi passwords and other settings to your Google account, enable Back up my data
- To restore backed up settings and data when re-installing apps, enable Automatic restore
NOTE: Apps and app data will be automatically restored once you register your Google account on your phone (say, after a factory reset).
Back Up Contacts on a Google Account:
- Tap Apps and go to Settings
- Tap Accounts and sign in to your Google account. If necessary, tap Add account and follow the on-screen steps
- Select the desired account and tap your email address
- Enable the Contacts switch
- Tap Menu > Sync now
NOTE: Contacts will be automatically restored when you register your Google account on the phone
Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:
- Launch the Contacts app
- Tap Menu > "Import / Export
- Tap Export to SD card
- Tap OK after the phone provides the storage directory and file name, or browse for a different location
Back Up Media Files
Using Your Phone:
- Tap Apps
- Launch Photos
- In case this is the first time accessing Photos, tap Sign in, follow the on-screen steps, and choose to back up data over Wi-Fi only or over Wi-Fi + mobile networks. Then tap Turn on
- If this isnt the first time opening Photos, tap Menu > Settings > Auto Backup and tap the switch at the top to enable the option
Using a Windows Computer:
- Establish a USB connection between your Kyocera phone and computer
- Swipe the Status bar down and tap Touch for other USB options > Media device (MTP)
- In the AutoPlay window on the computer, select to open and view files
- Browse for the desired media files and copy them
- Paste the files in the desired location on your computers HDD
- After the transfer is done, click the Mass Storage Device icon in the system tray and eject the phone storage
- You can now disconnect the phone from the computer
Using a Mac:
- Open the Internet browser on the Mac and visit https://www.android.com/filetransfer/
- Open androidfiletransfer.dmg
- Drag Android File Transfer to Applications
- Connect the phone to your Mac via USB
- On the phone, swipe the Status bar down and enable Media Sync (MTP)
- On the Mac, double-click Android File Transfer
- Browse the desired media files on your phone, then drag > drop to transfer
