NOTE: In case your phone freezes, crashes, or otherwise doesn’t work as intended, you can try fixing this behavior by factory resetting the smartphone.
WARNING! When you factory reset your phone, all data stored on the internal memory will be deleted, including downloaded content, contacts, ringtones and media files etc. Furthermore, all settings will be restored to factory values.
NOTE: Before master resetting your phone, you can visit this thread to learn how to back up data on the Hydro Air, and / or this link for instructions on restoring data.
Master Reset via Settings:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Settings”
- Swipe to and tap “Backup & reset”
- Tap “Factory data reset” and make sure “Erase SD card” is cleared (or enable the option to format the SD card too)
- Tap “Reset phone”
- If your phone is protected by a password, PIN etc. enter it to proceed
- Tap “Erase everything” to confirm
Check for OS Updates:
NOTE: After you factory reset your phone you should check if a new software update is available for your device. To do this:
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “About phone”
- Tap “System updates”
- Check if a new update is available, and if necessary, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install it
