Back Up & Restore App Data:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Access “Settings”
- Under “Personal”, tap “Backup & reset”
- Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, passwords, and settings etc. to your Google account
- Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account
Back Up & Restore Contacts:
- Open “Settings”
- Go to “Accounts”
- Select an account type
- Tap the account you want to sync contacts with
- Tick the “Contacts” check box
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
NOTE: You can restore contacts backed up using this method the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the Kyocera device and computer
- Turn ON “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media files on the phone
- Copy and transfer the media files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Kyocera DuraForce Pro to your computer via USB
- Turn “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media file backups on the PC storage
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
