LG Shine to Succeed Chocolate

It seems as though LG wants to market to consumers that thought the Chocolate was too dark. The Shine, (white chocolate?) or SV420/LV4200/KV4200, depending on how you look at it, will be another addition to LG's slider phones. The brushed aluminum look is hot, and so are the reported features of this phone:

2mp Schneider-Kreuznach camera w/ flash
1GB of space (ab out 250 mp3's)
MP3 Player
M-Bank Monetary Service
2.2" QVGA Display (that looks like a mirror when off)

Naturally the phone will be available in Korea first on SK Telecom sometime in June.

Dosent anyone realize the blatant racism on LG's behalf? Of course, someone does. First was the LG Chocolate. What tone is chocolate? Dark, of course. Next is the LG Shine, being a rather old deragatory term for African-Americans. I have no problem with it. I actually find it rather hilarious...

...but i'm not black.

How much is this sucker gonna cost us? More importantly, after a two-year agreement. If it's about the same price as a Chocolate, i'll surely hold off a couple o months.

Don't hold your breath. The "Shine" will only be available in Korea at first. It will not likely hit the states for a few (read: at least 6) months or so after it comes out in Korea. Even so, there is no guarantee that Verizon will get this phone, or that it will even be available on a CDMA network.

The Chocolate in Green and Red are expected at any time, though no dates have popped up yet. As for the "Chocolate II", I assume you are referring to the LG VX8600, commonly known as the "Chocolate Flip". This too is expected to come out soon, but no dates have been given.
