Questions about getting videos on my chocolate.

I searched the forums, and could not find much info... sorry if there is an awesome post, please direct me there if you would.

I was wondering how I would do this, like for example, would I use MP4 or 3GP?

I downloaded a music video from googlevideo and it was in MP4, and the video was like, sooooooo slooooow..... on the phone, but the sound was perfect. The video, you could barely see it, you could see some parts, very few, like 3..? lol

If there a trick I am missing out on or something? bc its really becoming a pain.

Can you tell me some programs that are cellphone video converters from MP4 to w/e ....... or whatever you use?

How can I tell a program will work for a cell phone, and what type of file are cell phone videos exactly?

The video format is 3G2.

There are plenty of converters out there for $20-$30, I'm looking for a free one (with no size constraints/watermarks) right now.

I'll post again as soon as I find one.

Good luck finding a free, unlimited 3G2 converter. I had to break down and pony up for a software suite that also rips to my iPod and my buddy's PSP (in addition to all the other devices I can get movies for). I currently use Slysoft's suite. Check them out here: SlySoft Products | Copy Movie DVDs with AnyDVD and CloneDVD. It is worth it.

I downloaded this one. Now, it says "you have the demo version and our watermark will be in your video". (not in those words,lol) But then they said "except in the first 3 minutes". I haven't done enough video yet to know if it is the first 3 minutes of every video, or your first 3 minutes total used with the program. But, I have two little ones on my phone that are still choppy, but at least the sound and the video are closer together.

Maybe someone knows something more about the programs settings to get it to come out better?

Ya... I am not too sure myself, my music videos are over 3 mins, and its insanely choppy, do they sell 3GP software at bestbuy or a store?

I give up looking for a 'free' one, its been 3 days since I really tried.. lol

Just be careful when you rip a movie to a file for your phone. If you create a 3gp file, it may not work properly. It must be a 3g2 file (which is different, believe it or not). 3gp is the version of video you need for GSM phones, 3g2 is for CDMA phones.

the program I posted lets you choose between the two.

Free video 3gp converter downloads ♫ My Music Tools there are some free converters that might be usefull for you i just tried it and it works good but you should buy it because it gets rid of the advertizing

I tried that program and it the videos sound and look great. I just have a problem. They all stop at less than 2:30 minutes. Am I doing something wrong? I know it's not the program because before it starts converting the file it says that it cannot be longer than 20 minutes.
