Did you turn on the Music Sync feature on your phone?

Go to: Get Tunes & Tones, My Music, Sync Music. Connect your phone to your PC, start WMP10 and set up the playlists you want to move to your phone.

Good luck!

Re: I Need Help With My LG Chocolate

Same exact problem here. I actually bought two, yep you read right, two chocolates for my sons. Have had them less than 24 hours now and have spoken with tech support 3x so far.

"Connect failure. Please check your cable connection to the PC."

Over, and over, and over again.

It's really frustrating, and I can hardly believe that my provider, V Wireless, is getting away with this. The mp3 features are exactly why we purchased these phones in the first place.

Anyway (my apologies for venting), any helpful information would be greatly appreciated.

if you have the micro sd adapter try formating the card then put the card in the computer and just click and drag. try just putting mp3 format because other ones may cause the phone to freeze up

Are you running Windows XP SP2 and WMP10? These are requirements for transfer of music using the Music Essentials Software Kit.

Otherwise please see the howto I wrote in this forum 12/18/06 entitled:

LG VX8500 WMA MP3 & Ringtone Howto

Good luck with it.

Re: I Need Help With My LG Chocolate

I have the same problem. CONNECT FAILURE this is XP sp2 and WMP 11.

I know my computer recognises the phone since I have been able to download phonebook and other content using BITPIM. However I am unable to sync using WMP.

The general work around seems to be to copy music to the card externally. However, my computer will not recognise the 4GB card.

The way i got around it to start with was to use a friends computer and copy all my music to that machine and then to the phone. That uses XP too and DID recognise the phone and allow me to sync.

For additional tracks I have worked around it by transferring to my 1GB card (which my PC does see) then copy to the phone memory and then to the 4GB card. This is er.... painful.

I really would like WMP to see the phone. Keep on looking I guess.....
