Has anyone figured out how to assign mp3 ringtones to the
CDMA LG 800 Chocolate? I'm on Bell's network. BitPim doesn't support that model (Error "Access to the file/directory has been blocked on this phone by the phone provider."), but I can see the directory structure using the extended file tree option. I just don't know what files to modify or where to place the mp3 ringtones. Any help is appreciated. (The BitPim ringtone tutorial didn't help because my phone doesn't have the directories listed in the "
brew" folder.)
-- Emailing ringtones don't work. Attachments get deleted.
-- This phone model doesn't have a removable memory card in it.
-- The cell phone network provider tech support person said there's no way to put ringtones onto the phone using the USB cable. (I'm sure there's a way though, I just haven't figured it out yet.)
I've read a bunch of posts but so far nothing has helped or the info was too vague for a phone-hacker novice like myself. Would LGDownload be something that would help me put ringtones on? I'm not familiar with that program or phone flashing, scared I will end up killing my phone.
