Master Reset for LG Chocolate

the screen on my chocolate recently broke making it impossible to see anything. My new phone is on the way but before i send my old one in i would like to delete some text messages and pictures some of which are "locked" Is there a way to reset or do some kind of master delete on my phone?

Yes, but you will be forced to read the display...which may not be possible.

Settings (and tools on some phones)--->Phone Settings--->Security Setting--->Master Reset (it may be called something else, but it will be clear).

Well a friend of mine has the same phone so i can just get both phones together and i can replicate the buttons pressed and hoped for the best but i just wanted to make sure the a master reset would in fact reset everything.

Yes, it does...just make sure you don't click "reset to default"...that won't erase the stuff, it just reverts settings (like wallpapers, etc) back to default...usually you want the option below that.
