LG Chocolate stopped charging

Hello!
I'm new here.. And I was just wondering if I could get some answers from this forum.
I have a black chocolate, from LG. Verizon.
The.. Second one, I think..
And since a couple days ago,
it stopped charging.
It's been dead for a coupld days,
and when I try to make an account on verizonwireless.com,
it says that I need the temporary password that is texted to my phone.
Too bad my phone is.. Dead at the moment.
So help. What do you think the problem is with my phone?
And most importantly, what is the solution for this problem my phone's been having?

What happens when you plug in the phone? Anything? It's either the charger or the battery that is bad.
