LG Chocolate malfunctioning

Help.

My LG Chocolate is being flipping stupid. When I try to call out to someone on it, it doesn't ring and I can't tell if they answer. The phone will play the turn on and off sounds, but that's it. I can't play any music on it. And for some reason, when I try to hang up by sliding the phone shut, it won't do so, and yes it is set to hang up when I close the cover. I've had this phone for over a year and have only had this problem once, but it stopped doing it and went back to normal (not sure why). I might also add that when I am called, it rings, but I still can't hear anything when I answer.

Re: My Problem

Pun intended: sounds like your Chocolate had a major melt down. I'd venture to say you have a short circuit supreme. Of course it's past the year warranty; I am sure they plan it that way. Bring it in and see what if anything they can do. It might be something as simple as removing the battery and cleaning out the area and the contact points.

(My son had a new phone and his problem was that simple: he kept it in his pocket without a case and the battery area was quickly dusty!)

I hope you issue is that simple but it sounds like a chip went wonky. Was your phone in a humid place? can't think of any accidents? It's certainly not serving you well as a phone in its current state--could double as a door stop or hockey puck.

Really, bring it in, doesn't sound like something you can deal with. As phones get more complex, unfortunately so do the damn problems!
