I own a LG VX8560. It was working fine, until I accidently got a bit of water on the front button of my phone. (Only about two drops). I put my phone away and let it air out. After that, the button was harder to press, but not that bad. Today, for some reason, it completely gave out and will not work. The water damage sticker has not been touched, and therefore is still under warranty.

I have two options:

1) I can send away, but if they find out about water damage, I'll have to pay it myself.
2) I can put up with it, but after a few months, I won't be able to send it out at all.

What should I do?
If the water sticker was not harmed, would they be able to tell the difference?
