Yes, it worked for me with Bejeweled. just need a couple more files.

Usually not, this is due to BREW's digital signatures and security features.

(brew is a Qualcomm thing, and all the apps downloaded from VZW's Get-it-Now, or now Media Center, are BREW apps)

Brew locks the apps to the hand held on which they were purchased/downloaded. This prevents beign able to backup from one phone and copy to another...
