LG Dare Memos & Saving Website Login Info

Hello I just got a Dare over the weekend and love it. However, my primary issue is no good way of tracking memos on the phone and syncing them to my pc. I installed Bitpim which seems ok for the Contacts, but I really need Notes/Memos. I tried saving my Notes as Draft SMS messages as a workaround, but I can only view the .dat file for them in the Bitpim filesystem.

Any suggestions or workarounds for this? I used to use PhatNotes on my Q which worked great. Obviously I can't put an app like that on this thing, but something similar would be acceptable. I'd hate to have to return it because of this one deficiency, but I can't go back to napkins and post-its and don't want to carry 2 devices...

My other issue is, I have a variety of websites that I log in to daily, but each day and even multiple times throughout the day it prompts me for my login credentials (even if I say 'keep me logged in', ie Facebook, My Yahoo) Is there a way to have it not bump me out of these sites?

Thanks in advance!
JC

From what I've heard over at Hofo...the proxy used by the browser doesn't allow saving of cookies...same happens to me for gmail.

Re: LG Dare Memos & Saving Website Login Info

So the no cookie thing with websites is annoying, but I guess I have to live with it. I wish there was a shortcut to get into all of the sites that have logins. Wherever possible, I've been minimizing the characters in my usernames to have less to type.

With regards to notes/memos, I still haven't found a good solution to sync them up to my pc, pehaps eventually Bitpim will do this. In the meantime, I've found a few workarounds that might work for others too. My issue is that I'm a writer/comedian and I often log ideas and notes that I work on and revise, so I need something that allows me to capture an idea and refine from my phone if necessary, but then ultimately I need to get them on my pc. So here's some things that work with varying degrees of success:

1) If you use Yahoo email, and you access from your phone browser, they have a Notepad tab along with your Mail that allows you to create and categorize Notes. It works pretty well from the phone and you can access your notes then from your pc. This is my preferred solution (for now, I'm still hoping for something better)

2) I have the unlimited in texting, so I send text messages to myself and if I keep them short, I can forward modifications to myself, and then if less than 160 chars, I can then send to my email address. Although this is the fastest method I found, it doesn't work completely for me when the idea requires more than 160 chars

3) Similar to #2, basically send emails to myself and forward revisions to myself.

To me, none of these are all that elagant, but they work and allow me to cut and paste lots of text instead of retyping later on. Hope this helps anyone who has also been disappointed by the note-taking options on the Dare; and if you've got something better, by all means please share!

Thanks!
JC
