Love the LG Dare, BUT...

Lg Dare is the best phone I've ever used, in spite of it's quirky touchscreen and just ok browser...Learning to control the touch screen is still fun and the browser is adequate enough to not get in the way of my absolutely loving this phone, the way it looks, feels and performs.

BUT...LG is noted by many Verizon customers as not always being able to send out voice signals adequately in many areas, resulting in no one being able to hear them trying to talk...Signal strength is not an issue here, as voice communication often works well in both high and low signal strength areas...Conversally, your voice does fade out to others listening while the signal strenth is very high as well as low. All my Verizon LG phones I've used in my area have had similar problems, while all other phones I've used, do not have this same problem...

So it is with much sadness, that I am returning this otherwise wonderful phone back to the Verizon store...

If LG phones work well in your area...Definitely go for the DARE!!!...Grow your fingernalis if you have to to get used to the touchscreen...This is an absolutely awesome phone!!!...

I've been with Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile...and I don't get decent reception hardly anywhere I go (mostly the bars..lol). I can text but not make or receive voice calls.

I've not been having that issue with my Dare. But I had a customer complain of that same thing. I checked with VZW support, and there doesn't look to be a fix on the horizon.

Re: Love the LG Dare, BUT...

The dare is a great new innovative phone for Verizon Wireless. (one they so desperately need) With the competition between the iPhone it just seems like they pushed out an innovative project but failed to fully finish the job. I love the Dare but find myself wanting more because it has so much potential. It's hard to have an innovative product without backing it up with innovative software. I hope they come up with some major updates in the future.

i live in long island, have been with verizon for 6 years, I owned lg 4400, e815, razr, voyager and now the dare.

With every phone I ever used, I never thought about reception issues... EVER. The phones ALWAYS worked.

with the dare, it feels like I am on t-mobile. People cant hear me when I call them, I cant make calls with 1 or no bars.

a voyager sits right next to me, it has 4 bars strong, the dare fluctuates in signal from 4 bars EV/No bars 1X, to nothing at all....

When will a fix for this be or is it a flaw in the hardware design?
