LG Dare wont group artist or show artwork

I have the LG Dare and used the rhapsody program to transfer music to the phone. On the program everything is grouped by artist, song name and i even added the album artwork. But when i transfer it to my phone, the artist name does not appear nor is it grouped. Under artist it says "NONE" but it shows 48 songs. Upon choosing the "none" it displays the songs by name and when i select to play them it does not show the album artwork. What is going on?

Did you ever figure out the artist and album art issue ? I have the same problem. Thanks.

Well that is very wierd problem..Try putting few songs thru data cable and see if art work is displayed.

I have the same problem and it's so frustrating. I've renamed all of my files in itunes... have bought software to "clean-up" any mislabeled files... and they still say "NONE" under artist (not entirely true, some are categorized and others are not). I'm spending way too many hours trying to figure this issue out and I'm debating on buying an iPod... ditching the Dare. If any one can help, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Here are my uploading steps-
1. connect card reader to micro sd card and plug it into my usb port.
2. open itunes
3. drag and drop music out of itunes and into micro sd card (into the proper folder).

When I converted my files to .WMA I lost the artists info but it works fine with MP3s.

I am having about the same problem. Has anyone been able to help? I downloaded an album with random artist on it. When I transfered the album to my phone and play it, the player only shows the song name, so I have to search further to see who the artist is.

Try downloading your songs to your computer. Then open Windows Media Player and rip the songs to your library. Click on "Sync" and drag the songs to the right. Plug a data cable into your computer, then your phone. Make sure your phone is recognized in WMP. Click "Start Sync". I do it this way with my LG enV2 and now all songs end up with all info on my phone, including album art.

This is my first post here, but I had to put in my two cents. I just got this phone and I got it for the music. When I loaded some songs on it to try it out over 400 out of 650 did not have any of the information! I was really frustrated. I use itunes for managing my music collection and they all had information most even had artwork in itunes. I did some searching online (google) to see if there was a specific id3 tag version or something they needed since itunes will convert to any ID3 tag version and well I came across this little program... called Dare music fixer

I put my music on the card and then ran this on the my_music directory and voila it fixed all of the album artwork and all of the music information. It even went to Amazon and got artwork for the albums that didn't already have it.

One word of caution though. Don't run this on your itunes library it seems to have wiped out the genera info, so only run this on the music on your phone. It took about an hour I think to run through about 4 GB of music and I had to manually add about 8 album covers that it didn't find on it's own.

Also it adds a letter to the beginning of the song name to fix the order they appear in on the phone. (So they are actually in the correct order for the album).
