Is there any way to keep the phone from going dark? I'd like to have the clock display always showing if possible.

Yes
But It would help If you showed the Model Name of your phone....
Usually it is Display Settings --> Backlight --> External/Internal --> Always On
Thats what it is in mine.

All phones have a time limit if i'm not mistaken, if you were to keep your phone's display on all the time it would definitely drain your battery faster than usual.

Oh yeah lol... It should be under The Display -> Backlight settings

didn't work. Under Display-Backlight_ 1 minute is the longest it will stay on.

But its not the backlight that I want to be constantly displayed. I want to be able to see my "charging screen" at all times (intsead of the screen going black)

change the charging screen to clock, it should stay on so that you can see it while charging

I want it to stay on all the time, not just when i'm charging it.
