Is the phone "locked" ?? e.g., a small 'lock' in the bottom left corner? Is this a new phone?

Hold down the POWER/RESET button to restart it.. If the problem remains, take it to the VZN store where you got it.

yeah its a brand new phone had it 4 2 weeks thanks the button didnt work

Well, I would just take it back to the VZN store if this is reproduceable. Never had that issue with mine.

My phone sometimes does that... Try taking the battery out and then tunring back on. Do you have a case on your phone? Sometimes the case will cause the touch screen to stop functioning. A few hard cases I bought for my Dare did that. If it does not work, then yes.... take your phone in and talk to Verizon.... sometimes it has bad firmware or software and they will just replace it! Good luck!

First off I would like to say.. High... lol I just had the same problem with my LG dare lol and I just got the phone yesterday cause my HTC Droid Thunderbolt got stolen (which I dont know why cause its badly cracked on the front) so I got the dare off some website yesterday, so Im a little ticked lol but I figured it out, TAKE THE BATTERY OUT.. that worked for me

Take out the battery and wait for 30sec and then insert the battery back and switch on the phone.it will work........
