MTP driver device wont install LG Dare

I have a LG Dare and when i have tried to connect to SYNC i get the error MTP device driver did not load and is unpluged
What the hell is that.? The only connection is the usb port to the computer to put the songs i got from rhapsody on my phone.
I am trying for weeks to fix this any Ideas.?

You DID installed the Device driver, right???? If not, you need to. If you did, I'd try just reinstalling the drive from your CD..
