Dare charging problems

Starting a few days ago, my LG Dare won't charge using the USB wire and outlet adapter. It only charges when it is plugged into a computer via USB.

At first I thought that it was my outlet adapter, but then I found someone with the same phone as me, and my Dare didn't work with their adapter, either, while his Dare worked just fine with it.

Any ideas as to what's wrong, because it's not my adapter and it only charges when plugged into a computer?

Have you tried removing the battery for a little bit and reinserting it? Just a thought.... Otherwise, I would take it to the VZN store and have them see the issue ... you might be given a replacement phone...

I dont have anyproblem, if you do just take it back, or your battery is dead

I am having the same problem with my phone. Two of my friends also have the LG Dare and I tried their chargers and still no luck. It only charges if it is plugged into the USB. Does anyone know if it will work with a car charger or any other store brand chargers? I'm leaving for a 2 week vacation and definitley will need my phone- I won't have computer access to charge it!!

your best bet would be to just take it into the verizon store. i've had battery charging problems in the past with old phones and it usually had to do with the port on the phone. but it sounds weird that it will charge when plugged into the computer, but not when plugged into the wall. i would just take it in.

Wow this is crazy..
so same thing for me...last night i plugged phone in to the wall...no charge.....this morning with my car charger...no charge....i get to work plug it into the computer using the USB...and getting a charge..
WTH! this is bizarre..
am calling my dealer today to see what is what......

I just started having the same problem. For a few days I was charging my phone at work using the usb on my computer. Then I tried to charge it using my car charger but it would not work. So I thought it was my car charger but it will not charge using the adapter either. I tried removing the battery but no help there.

Mine recently started doing the same thing too! Only charges in a pc, not wall outlet! Taking is back soon. Maybe I can get a new one!

Anyone have any luck getting a free replacement Dare from Verizon?

If they have any at all, they will likely have only refurbed ones ... the Dare has been discontinued. :-(
