Earpiece Volume gone-How Set?

Phone was working fine and I loaded and played songs for the first time. Now, there is no earpiece volume. Calls go out but can't hear a ring or voice. Incoming calls ring but I can't hear them nor they me. I can hear music and incoming calls thru the headphones.

Any thoughts/help greatly appreciated.

Very strange. How new is the phone? Try pushing the SPEAKER PHONE BUTTON on and off. Does that do ANYTHING? Might try removing the battery and leaving it out for a couple of mins. and put it back in ... see if that solves the issue. If not, I would take it the VZN store and have them replace it; assuming it's fairly new.

Did the battery thing... no change. I did note that the speaker phone button remains OFF at all times. It does not toggle when I push it. Got the phone in January ..not sure of the warrantly thing. I'll stop by VZ today

VZ said they will send a new one...no fix found
