LG Dare VX9700 ebooks?

I want to download books to read on Micro SD 8 gb card for my Dare. Can I do this? I can't seem to find any info if the phone will support this or not.

What are you trying to do with the 8 GB Card? The Dare does in fact support the Micro SD 8 GB card - if it's coming from another phone, it will however have to be reformatted though for the DARE to see it and manage files on it... I just bought mine at the VZN store when I bouth the DARE. Works great.

I am trying to download ebooks onto the SD card so that I can read them on my LG Dare. I called the Verison site and they said I cn't do that. Just seemd to me that if you can load music, etc you should be able to load the ebooks and read them on the Dare. I thought to load them onto the via computer onto the card and then insert card into phone.

Also, maybe it will take audio books instead? I thought I could load books and not have to carry them with me.

Yea, unfortunately that's right... It would require a special APP on the Dare to "understand" what those ebooks are. However, something you COULD do is get some software that can convert the AUDIO ebook to an MP3 ... (not sure what file format a book audio file is) then you could simply copy the converted MP3 file to your SD card's MY_MUSIC directory and play it ... of course the DARE's player sucks - being that you won't be able to fast-fwd or rewind, or resume where you left off, etc... so it might be kinda tough to listen to an entire audio of a book. (if you STOP it, you won't be able to go back to a chapter to resume it...I hate that lack of a basic feature.)
