Transfer text messages to computer or SD Card

I have an LG Dare with a micro SD card. I have text messages I need to save and I cannot figure out if there is a way to save them to my SD card or my computer. Please help.

I don't think there is a way to do that.

You can forward the text to your email address, and it will be on your computer. Or just type it...

Not sure if this works or not (I don't TEXT message very much) ... But have you tried installing BitPim and browsing the phone's SMS/MMS directory ??? Maybe there are files in there that you can just COPY and PASTE .... just a thought.

using bitpim:

click get phone data
check the box next to sms (making sure the bubble for "add" is selected)
click ok
