VX9100 enV2 Blutooth Problems


Hi. I bought the env2 as soon as it came out so I was already expecting some bugs, but this is making me think the phone might be defective.

When I have a bluetooth headset connected and a call comes in, the phone rings, but I get no notification sound from the headset. In other words, I can answer the call with the headset but it doesn't ring through to the headset and I've tried two different headsets from two different manufacturers. The Jabra BT8040 and the Motorola HT820. Both are bluetooth stereo (A2DP) headsets if that makes a difference. I REALLY want to be able to get some sort of ring through the headset.

Is there possibly a setting on the phone that I need to configure? Has anyone else noticed this issue? Please help.

Goto phone settings for ringtones and select headset and speaker
Also, ringtones are normally mono

Thanks, unfortunately there is no setting for that on my phone. If there is I sure as hell can't find it. If you know how to do it on the env2 please let me know...thanks.

I also have an EnV2, and I use a JawboneII bluetooth headset with no problem. I won a bid for the JawboneII on ebay, and became worried when I heard some people talking about the EnV2 having some bluetooth issues.

I called Verizon, and was told there was a new software update for the EnV2 that came out on 10/19/08. This update was issued to resolve some bluetooth and music playing problems. I was told that the phone had to be taken to tech support to have the update put on. I got the phone back after leaving it for a couple of hours. The JawboneII paired with the phone easily and everything has worked fine -- I haven't had one bluetooth problem! Maybe you need the software update-- other providers should have it also. Good Luck.

Been using the original Jawbone with my enV 2 since I got the phone (about 2 weeks ago) and it's work (so far) flawlessly. Maybe it is a software update thing?

I lost my ability to pair with any bluetooth device, brought it into Verizon and they just exchanged it for a new one...

I also had the charger port (micro USB port) fail. I could only charge the phone if I moved the wires around until the connection was made in the phone...
Much better now with new phone...
